MHB BLOG & NEWS
Good Jams as always @ Growlers in Gaithersburg, MD

Growlers Every Monday Brandon Combs and Gary Grainger host the Jam night over in Gaithersburg as a cool club called Growlers. As always the musicians were all bringing it in full force. Vince Evans as always laying some sweet lines to the amazing Anita King vocals. How does she hold those notes sooooooo long. And filling in for Gary tonight was Michael Pryor who was kicking the bass lines to his hearts content. Man that guy can play and I’m lucky to say he’ll be doing again with myself MHB this weekend at The Manor Tavern up in Monkton, MD.

Brandon Combs and Bryan Fox? Need I say more. I only wish I had the pipes that these guys are throwing down. Man. Man. Man. The soul of Fox and sweetness of Mr. Combs. If you haven’t heard these guys, you really should go check them out. They’ll be back again tomorrow at The Harp and Fiddle in Bethesda, MD. Back to Back is how this group of extremely talented and funky musicians do it.

Let’s see we also had some guy cut off one with some of his tipsy DJ rhymes. Good old Charlie and the country version of Margaritaville, the killer drums not to mention from Mr. Torro Gamble himself who will also be joining MHB this weekend. Man, this is going to be a good week ahead. Off to bed now. Cheerio….and may the Rock & Roll Gods treat you well.

MHB ON ECHO TV

MHB was recently selected to be a part of Chicago’s Echo TV. VIEW SHOW A local cable television show featuring up and coming musicians and bands from the Chicago area. We had a great time thanks to Sue Hughey who originated and runs Echo TV. We had a great show and we were excited to get to know the other bands and musicians as well. We look forward to being a part of the show again as we really enjoyed rocking out some of the new songs from the recent release “Sparks Are Going to Fly.” Available now on iTunes.

Without the help of people like Sue, creating an environment and opportunity for local musicians to get exposure, some musicians and bands may never be found. We give thanks to those who help support local music.
